Guanacaste faces west, which is why the sunsets here are the event. Our sunset cruise sails the coast near Tamarindo as the light turns gold, drinks in hand.

Golden Hour

Timed so you're anchored and settled before the light turns, and not racing the sun to get there.

Certified Crew

Bilingual captains who know this coast, a real briefing, and eyes on the water the whole evening.

Fresh Food Aboard

Fresh food from our own kitchen, plated and served on deck just as the light begins to turn gold.

Hotel Pickup

We collect you across Flamingo, Potrero, Tamarindo, Playa Grande and Conchal, in vans of our own.

Sunset cruise FAQ

When is the best time of year for sunsets in Guanacaste?
December to April is dry and bright, with clean, reliable sunsets. The green season (May to November) trades some certainty for drama: afternoon clouds catch the light and the sky goes further. Humpback whales pass through from August to January, so green season evenings often come with company.
Will I see dolphins or whales?
Mornings are the calmest time on the water, which is exactly when marine life is most active. Sightings of dolphins, manta rays and (in season) humpback whales are common β€” not guaranteed, but the odds are with you.
What's the difference between Shared and Private?
Shared means joining a small group at a per-person rate. Private means the catamaran is exclusively yours β€” your group, your pace, your playlist. Same crew, same gourmet kitchen on both.
What time does the sunset sailing depart?
Boarding starts at 1:45 PM at Marina Flamingo. We cast off at 2:00 PM and return at 6:00 PM, timed with golden hour. Your exact pickup time is confirmed the day before.
Sunset sailings book up early β€” should I reserve ahead?
Yes. Sunset is the most requested window and dates fill 2–3 weeks ahead in high season. Reserving ahead is the best way to lock your preferred date.
